A breakdown of the Finovate event
The event involved exhibitions, short pitches, networking, plenary sessions and forums so it was important that the Finovate team find a venue able to offer a high degree of flexibility. They also wanted somewhere which was conveniently located for their delegates and which could support their high-spec tech and WiFi requirements.
Delegates saw the best of the Europe’s fintech through unique, short-form demos and learned from expert speakers on banking, regtech, payments, customer experience, investech, open banking and AI.
Flexible layout
The Finovate team used the unique layout of Tobacco Dock to their advantage, creating a functional and enjoyable guest flow.
Brandable backdrop
Our exposed brickwork and listed timber beams made a beautiful blank canvas for the Finovate branding.
Connectivity
Tobacco Dock's impressive WiFi and tech infrastructure was a big draw for the event organisers.
Why Tobacco Dock?
Initially reticent about the idea of splitting the demonstrations and exhibition, the Finovate team were delighted with the outcome. Delegates were able to journey through the event, and the use of multiple spaces meant that all the sessions felt well-attended without overcrowding. Special mention was made about the catering provided by Tobacco Dock Food, which came complete with a barista possessing some terrific latte art skills!
