The Greatest Show

a breakdown of the Nutanix event

This was a post-conference party for 3,00 lucky guests. Nutanix wanted to create a wow-factor event for their delegates, speakers and sponsors to let their hair down and enjoy some world-class entertainment. The theme of ‘Vintage Circus – The Greatest Show’ gave plenty of scope for creative and eclectic theming and catering. Tobacco Dock underwent a breath-taking transformation, becoming a bustling big-top for the night.

Facilities and facts

Party place

The exposed beams and brickwork arches of the venue lent themselves to the imaginative stylings of the party and added extra impact.

Location

Easily accessible location made us a great spot for a party, and a branded taxi rank helped revellers get home safely at the end of the evening.

Spaces

Differently sized spaces meant the organisers could create a fun journey throughout the party to prevent bunching up in any one spot.

Why Tobacco Dock?

Nutanix were looking for an easily accessible venue which offered high-capacity, flexible spaces and which could add character and atmosphere to the proceedings. The enormous scope, rich history and iconic architecture of Tobacco Dock fitted the brief to perfection.

The versatile, stripped-back spaces at Tobacco Dock provided a blank canvas for the organiser’s team to let their creative ideas flow.

The end results

Our unique layout lent itself to the specific demands of the event. The clients wanted guests to move easily through the party without any need to queue, so the different spaces became interactive zones which could run simultaneously. There were dodgems, football screenings and immersive games for the guests to enjoy. Food and drink stalls were peppered through the venue, as well as popcorn vending bikes, providing a continuous stream of party fuel!
