Alteryx Inspire Europe

a breakdown of the Alteryx event

Alteryx Inspire Europe 2019 was a four-day conference, divided into two days of training followed by two days of conference delivery. The event had grown from its original attendance of 750 guests in its inaugural year in 2017 to over 5,000 in 2019.

Facilities and facts

Returning event

This was a return to Tobacco Dock after a 2 year hiatus and we were delighted to welcome them back.

High capacity

Our ability to host large numbers was a major draw for Alteryx, whose guest list had expanded considerably.

No food waste

We partnered with OLIO the food sharing app to redistribute surplus food from the event.

Why Tobacco Dock?

This was a return to the venue after a short hiatus and we were delighted to welcome Alteryx back. Our large capacity was a major draw for them as their event has expanded significantly over the past few years. Proximity to transport links was important as well as the inimitable Tobacco Dock depth of history and unique character.

This was an innovative event with which we were delighted to be involved. Delegates completed challenges around the venue as part of the content and then collected prizes from the ‘Swag Store’ set up in the North Bandstand; a great way to promote engagement and brilliant use of space.

Due to the size of the event, an overflow to Great Gallery plenary was created in Little Gallery. A Dante Over IP audio system means that we can easily share audio and video across the venue.

The end results

We partnered with OLIO, the food sharing app, to make this a zero food waste event. Tobacco Dock Food worked with OLIO to redistribute 388 meals to the local area and representing 612kg CO2 emissions and +100,000 litres water saved.

Other highlights included creating an oasis in East Mall Square with deckchairs and hammocks to serve as a chill-out area. Quayside Bar transformed into a VIP area by day and was used for both the welcome and closing drinks receptions.
