dotdigital Summit

The dotdigital Summit was a one day conference which brought together 1,000 digital marketing professionals. Using the impressive Great Gallery for their plenary session, the team made great use of spaces in the East Mall and North Dock to create a compelling delegate journey.

With over 1,000 attendees, the dotdigital team wanted to find a venue which could allow them to conduct their plenary session in a single space comfortably, while having the flexibility to create a dynamic delegate journey with a variety of breakout spaces. They loved the flexibility Tobacco Dock was able to offer them. The tailor-made venue package lent them considerable creative freedom to really put their stamp on the place and let the dotdigital personality shine through, while also streamlining supplier and set-up processes. The history and character of the venue was another major draw for the team and endowed a greater depth of atmosphere to the proceedings.

The dotdigital conference was a bustling event which incorporated an exhibition in the Vaults level with the talks and workshops taking place on our ground floor.

The layout created an engaging and free flowing delegate journey and the organisers used creative branding and sets to great effect, with Tobacco Dock’s pared-back interiors providing a characterful canvas for all their ideas. The dotdigital team enjoyed the fact that due to the scope of Tobacco Dock, they didn’t have to limit the numbers of exhibitors in the way they might have done at a smaller venue. They were also impressed by the quality and delivery of the catering, which was carried out by our in-house team, Tobacco Dock Food, and which included breakfast, lunch and snacks, all prepared with seasonal and locally sourced produce where possible. We also offered vegan options, including some very popular chocolate and cinder toffee brownies!

They are returning for a further event in the summer.
